TLC Marketing is so proud of their undergraduate programme, with placement students offering a fresh perspective, hunger for success and desire to constantly learn.
Yesterday, we received news that Rowan Smith, Operations Intern at TLC Marketing, has won the highly sought-after ’12-Month Placement of the Year’ award as part of the University of Gloucestershire’s Student Union Awards.
Sponsored by Future Plan, these awards recognise the success of university students on their placement year and awards those who exceed employer’s expectations, showing dedication, hard work and commitment.
Rowan was put forward for the award by Will Thomas, Senior Partnerships and Content Manager at TLC Marketing, and is now the proud owner of a coveted ‘Golden Gnomie’.
On Rowan’s achievement, Will said, “Rowan has quite literally excelled in every aspect of work that we have presented her with, from campaign management and event planning to being head of the Swansea office’s ‘Fun Club’ team. It has been an immense pleasure having her as part of our agency and due to her success; Rowan has been awarded the opportunity to continue to work with us on a part-time basis throughout her final year of studies. Winning this award really is a fitting end to the incredible year Rowan has had at our agency.”
Rowan studies Marketing, Advertising and Branding at the University of Gloucestershire and throughout her placement year has worked extremely hard in bringing various campaigns to life as well as leading some of TLC's biggest internal events such as our global Frankie Awards. Opportunities like this are rare.
We are all very proud of Rowan.
