TLC Marketing win agency of the year

TLC Marketing crowned Agency of the Year at the IPM Awards 2017

Last night TLC Marketing won big at The IPM Awards 2017, taking home one Silver trophy, four Golds and the coveted Agency of the Year Award.

The IPM is the most prestigious awarding body in the Promotional Marketing industry, showcasing and celebrating the very best in creativity and effectiveness in our industry.

The evening commenced with opening addresses from Lord Black of Brentwood, President of the IPM, and John Sylvester, the IPM’s chairman, while the host for the event was Strictly Come Dancing star, Claudia Winkleman.

The first trophy of the night was a Silver in the Household and Pet category for our product launch of the Braun MultiQuick hand blender. Claudia Winkleman then went on to announce TLC Marketing as the Gold winners for the most effective incentive programme for Pallas Foods, Relish Rewards closely followed by a Gold for the most effective Reward, Recognition or Motivation programme for our Giant Chip Fork campaign.

Pallas Foods and the Giant Chip Fork then went onto win Gold in Consumer Loyalty & Retention category and Direct Marketing respectively.

The night didn’t end there. As Claudia Winkleman was handed a gold envelope, the room waited in anticipation to find out who had won, Agency of the Year. As she opened the envelope, “Oh my goodness, prepare for mayhem Agency of the Year goes to TLC Marketing”

In a heart felt speech John Pearson, General Manager of TLC Marketing UK said, “Tonight I am honoured and totally humbled by our beautiful business. As an agency we’re nothing without the people who work for us so it’s congratulations to you all. You’re brilliant. You’re talented. You’re superb. I am so proud. I cannot thank you enough for the hard work you put in to get us here. And to my Chairman, Nick True, who came on a journey with me four years ago and said, “This is going to be a mad journey” but you stuck by us. Thank you to the IPM, to our clients and to our network of partners who without them our campaigns simply wouldn’t exist. I am so proud, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Nick True, Chairman of TLC Marketing commented, “Wow! Rarely am I ever lost for words. I am truly humbled. What a fantastic achievement by our brilliantly talented UK team. You deserve this so much. Thank you.”

John Sylvester, Chairman of the IPM, said: “The IPM Awards celebrate outstanding promotional marketing from the very best UK agencies and underscore our commitment to supporting best practice, creativity, effectiveness and innovation. Our Awards are open to everyone in the marketing industry and this year it was great to see both some familiar faces and some newcomers amongst the winners and the audience.”

This year, winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze IPM Awards all qualify for entry into the IMC European Awards. Last year TLC won a Bronze and Silver for their work with Continental Tyres and Bupa.

John Sylvester observes: “The UK produces world-class promotional marketing campaigns, and we want as many of our winners as possible to enter the IMCs so we can underline our leadership in this vitally important sector of the marketing and advertising industry.”
